I don’t know about you, but the thought of learning to code kind of makes my head spin! However, I know this is quickly becoming a very important skill for our children to have. Thus finding coding classes, or more specifically coding for kids, is something you may want to consider.

Self-Paced Coding Courses for Kids
My grandson recently started using the CodaKid Self-Paced option. I was so pleased to see so many included courses! Not only that, there is such a variety of levels to choose from.
My grandson is 8 and has no coding experience. He was able to start with the Coding in Scratch videos (of which there are 17 – see more about this below). Scratch is a very simple and FREE coding platform. The CodaKid videos walk kids through how to navigate within the Scratch platform and then how to start creating and coding. Within the first day he was able to create and play his very own game!
As you can see in the photo above my grandson was working on a computer with two screens. While you don’t need to have this set up to use the courses, we find it’s so much easier to have a full screen for the CodaKid videos and a separate full screen for the game they are working on coding in.
