The Pearl Girls book is great. A friend of mine has a story she tells in it.

Thanks for sharing your traditions. It’s always fun to see what other families do.
We do the one new ornament a year. We go to the Christmas Eve service at church, which is always a wonderful way to go so mindfully and peacefully into Christmas day.
We have 3 Christmas’-ours, and both sides of the family. We go from early morning to late at night, gathering, eating, and enjoying each others’ company. When the girls were young, it would cause crankiness sometimes, but we all love being able to spend time with both families.

I love the traditions surrounding Christmas that our family does every year. It makes me feel more connected to family past and I hope it is the thread that binds together the family future as well. Thank you for writing and sharing your traditions. And for linking up with NOBH. Smiles –
