Simple Woman’s Daybook ~ March 9th, 2010
FOR TODAY:
March 9, 2010…
Outside my window…ahhh, finally the sun is shining!  We have had a few days of sun and slightly warmer temps.  The sidewalks are filled with draining water as the snow melts into tiny rivers of water.  Spring will be here soon!
I am thinking…about the book I will read after Gone with the Wind.  I am down to two options:  read a lighter smaller book such as Happiness Key by Emilie Richards.  This is the first of a trilogy.  The second one, Fortunate Harbor is coming out June 29th, 2010.  My second option is to decide on and delve into another “oldie but goodie”!  Any suggestions?
I am thankful for…the twelve happy years of marriage Joey and I have had.  March 8th was our anniversary.  On Saturday we went out for a nice dinner and wandered Barnes and Noble for books and to check out the Nook.
From the learning rooms…found a great web-site if you are learning about Ancient Egypt and King Tut.  It is not only packed with a ton of information, but photos and a virtual tour of his tomb as well.  We are currently doing some reading about the God’s of Ancient Egypt and I would like to delve into a little more history.  This is a great place to start, and linger! 🙂
From the kitchen…we are looking forward to large Belgian style waffles made by Joey tonight.  I love them piled with Strawberries and whipped cream!
I am wearing…pj’s but will soon be scurrying about to get ready for Ava’s preschool.  I am the parent volunteer which makes her the “Special Helper” for the day!
I am creating…5″ x 5″ squares for my  Lap Blanket project .  Not sure how many I have completed to this point.  I think maybe 16-17.  I just finished using black yarn and I am not on to white.
I am going…to Ava’s preschool today.  Then off to lunch at the mall with my parents.
I am reading…Gone with the Wind still.  Although I am almost 700 pages in out of ~950.
I am hoping…that Chloe has a break through performance this weekend at competition.  She has been working very hard and deserves a reward of some scores she will be proud of!
I am hearing…quiet as no one is up yet!
Around the house…all our drywall is up in the basement.  I am looking forward to the first coat of mud that will go on tonight.  Thanks to our friend/neighbor Bill for helping us accomplish this goal.
One of my favorite things…a sunny day on a hot beach.  I am hoping to find some of that when we take our Florida vacation this year.
A few plans for the rest of the week: usual preschool duties, ice skating, Pj’s & Popcorn, nail appointment this weekend while Chloe and Joey are off at a gymnastics competition
Here is the picture for thought I am sharing…
