Online Classical Education: A Helpful Homeschool Option

Classical education is where I first started falling in love with homeschooling. Classical education is based on a three-part process of training the mind. From the early Grammar years where kids learn the basic building blocks of each subject, through the middle Logic Stage, and then to the final Rhetoric Stage in high school where kids learn to write and speak with originality. It is language focused, with an emphasis on timeline based history, memorization, and solid whole literature.

Online Classical Education with Wilson Hill Academy

Online Classical Education with Wilson Hill Academy is a simple way to get support for providing a classical education at home. With highly involved teachers in such subjects as Latin, mathematics, history, and more.

Offering courses for students in grades 4 – 12, Wilson Hill Academy provides college-bound students with a classical Christian education. Tuition rates are based on the number of courses a student takes, allowing Wilson Hill Academy to come alongside families and offer flexibility. That means your students can take one course, or multiple, depending on what your needs are at the time.

Having trouble with higher level math? No problem! Want them to be able to interact with their Latin studies? (They also offer Spanish 1-4, Ancient Greek and Russian and are adding French next year!) No problem! Wilson Hill Academy makes helping you their priority!

Wilson Hill Academy offers live online courses, providing students the opportunity to interact with one another as well as their teachers, creating engaging and energizing classrooms. During class, students regularly communicate via webcam, mic and chat box.

Wilson Hill’s registrar and a college advisor work closely together to assist students with course mapping, graduation plans and college planning. Wilson Hill Academy Teachers

Wilson Hill Academy is very proud of their teachers. Their teachers think deeply about their subjects from a Christian worldview and are excited to challenge their students to do the same.

“Wilson Hill Academy believes that gifted, enthusiastic teachers who can bring their subjects alive are the key to successfully delivering a classical Christian education, whether online or in a classroom. At WHA, we seek to engage “Master Teachers”, who have degrees in their field, giving preference to those with advanced degrees. These Master Teachers are awarded ownership shares in Wilson Hill Academy as a component of their compensation, further recognizing the essential role they play in the educational process.”

What does this mean for your children? It means they have teachers who love what they are teaching, know a lot about it, and are passionate about sharing that knowledge with your children!
