Awesome! I just love it when my kids learn something new and then they share it with others. They are always so proud of themselves as well as their momma being proud of them.

My husband was just talking about how much he was going to miss school christmas programs and concerts. I’ll have to get the kids to memorize some songs and poems for a little family convert I think.

My younger 2 decided to memorize some things a few months ago. Ki chose 1Corinthians 13 and Connor chose “Custard the Cowardly Dragon (O.Nash)

my oldest has no interest in memorizing ‘language art’ stuff, but has a whole lot of tactical readout facts memorized on different weapons.

I too love a classical education. My two grandchildren, Chloe and Jayden are astonishing in what they have been able to memorize lately. It never ceases to amaze me all the things we can learn to memorize. This past week it was announced on K Love radio station about 300 students who were selected for a contest of scripture memory. The student who wins will receive $100,000. But wow!, who can put a price on what the spiritual foundation of hiding God’s word in these student’s lives will be. From the ages of 8-11 I was learning 100 verses in the Bible in order to earn my first Bible. There were many things I had to deal with growing up and those verses served me well.
