Sorry to hear that you are still somewhat anxious about my mission trips. I try hard not to place myself purposefully in harms way/or put the Lord to a test. I have complete peace about my future because it’s in God’s hands. Psalm 139 speaks to this. Before ever being born God charted my path beginning to end. And now Tuesday I’m off to Guatemala knowing and trusting in Deuteronomy 31:8 The LORD himself goes before Ingrid and will be with Ingrid; he will never leave Ingrid nor forsake Ingrid. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Pray that I will be the hands and feet of Jesus to the children in the orphanage. Pray that when I share my testimony with them it will be an encouragement to them that God can and will make a way in their lives where humanly there seems to be no way.

Now for the eye to eye business; It is true we don’t always agree, but who does. We are all created and knit together so differently. As far as I’m concerned, it’s ok to agree to disagree. I appreciate you for you. You are a treasure, an inheritance from the Lord. I am thankful for and consider you a best friend. There were times in the raising of you that I thought being friends might not be possible because at the time it was far more important for me to be your mother. Your father and I love you (all our children & grandchildren) just like the Lord loves us with an everlasting, unconditional, agape 1 Corinthian 13 love. The Lord reminded me of a saying on a pillow you gave me. A mother holds her child’s hand a little while; their heart forever.

What beautiful photos and wonderful memories you share with your mother! I am so amazed by people who do mission work-it is truly a sacrifice to the Lord. May she return safely;)
