I’m glad your daughter is okay. My oldest son has just begun driving, and I’m nervous. Reading your story reminds me that even an accident can cause a teen to get the experience necessary to become a more experienced driver.

My daughter is a few years away from driving, but this is probably why teen insurance is so high! I’m glad your daughter was OK!

It was a humbling experience, one none of us will forget and hopefully it has put pause in our daughter to more accommodating for the road and weather conditions.

Thanks for sharing. My son totalled his car less than 24 hours after he purchased it.Simple mistake – his was one of three cars to come to grief in the same place in an hour, but while they drove away he hit the bank at just the wrong angle to cause damage not worth repairing. He dealt with it all himself – towtrucks, wreckers etc- and we didn’t know until he walked in the door! I know he learnt a lot from the experience.

Wow! Thanks for sharing your story Sandra! We are so thankful our daughter was unharmed as I am sure you were with your son!
