Just read this over at Hip Homeschool Moms. Great post! I think a book club is in my future, but right now I can’t see how it would work. Thanks for sharing how to set one up.

Annie Kate, thanks for stopping in! I have benefited so much from the book clubs, despite some of the issues. I hope you find your time to join/start one!

    Heidi,
This post is very timely for me. I’ve been thinking about how to build community and strengthen bonds in the women’s lives around me, and this helps to motivate me! “You need to put yourself out there” is a great reminder.
    Blessings,
    Ann

Ann, I often find that we are quick to feel isolated, or not have community, but are not quick to try and make it happen. I think we all need a little push in the, “put yourself out there” department! 🙂 So glad this post could help encourage you to be the wheel that puts things in motion!

I love book clubs. I, too have belonged to several. But each of them, in turn, have dwindled Sigh.. Thank you for your insight. I’m officially ready to try again!i

Diane, I too love book clubs. I have been sad to see my two adult one die out. For now I live through my two daughters’ Mother/Daughter book clubs and hope for I time when I have one of my own again.
