“Because I could not stop for Death, He kindly stopped for me” always gets to me. I do admire your perseverance with this book that you are not really enjoying! I heard recently that reading something challenging that you wouldn’t pick out for fun is really good for your brain…if that is any consolation!

What a wonderful idea to follow those trails of thoughts. Usually I will look up a vocabulary word, but that is about it. You have given me new insight into how to get more enjoyment out of my reading. I never thought about blogging about it either. Thanks for both great ideas!

Thank you Kim. I think my habit of following things came out of the need to know. I sometimes feel truly unintelligent and inferior when I read something and don’t have a clue what they are referencing! It helps me to check it out so I know I am not missing anything! This age of technology we are in really helps. I am often reading on my ipad so it is easy to click on to the Internet to look up what I need to know.

I will try to take it as consolation Rachel! I think the finding out about some of the things I wasn’t familiar with has helped to make it feel more worthwhile. I am currently in a section all about Auschwitz Concentration Camp which is something else I know little about so I will probably be doing a little digging around about that as well.
