I was recently searching for a picture for a photo content over at I ♥ Faces and I came across a series of pictures that I took in June of 2009.  They were taken at my Uncle Henry and Aunt Sue’s house when we were there for a family picnic.  Separately, I don’t think the pictures are anything to write home about, (and certainly not of good enough quality for a photo contest) but together they tell a story.  A pretty funny one if I do say so myself.

Here’s how the story goes:

Every summer when we gather for the Annual Family Picnic, the kids always find entertainment in the trampoline.  Our children do not have one at home so of course it is super exciting to them!  This particular year I caught my Aunt Diane indulging her granddaughter and jumping playfully on the trampoline with her.

Now this is all well and fine until……crazy Uncle Henry decides to stir the pot!  He can never be left out of the fun!  In fact, usually he is right at the center of it!

What started out as sweet, cute, fun, turned into a lot of jumping on Uncle Henry’s part and rolling around trying to save her life on Aunt Diane’s part.  It was so funny that none of us, including the parties involved could stop laughing!  Uncle Henry kept jumping….

and jumping….

until poor Aunt Diane’s stomach (and I think her heart too) couldn’t take anymore!

Although Diane seems to be a little worse for wear, Uncle Henry looks pretty darn proud of himself!!

The moral of the story?  Never jump for joy on a trampoline if crazy Uncle Henry is around!!  Thank you Uncle Henry and Aunt Diane for a memory from our family party that I will never forget.  Just looking at these pictures has put a smile on my face!  We are looking forward to another great gathering this year!  Hopefully it will again include Todd, Lis and the kids.
